Day 1

Ahmedabad

On your arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be met by our representatives. They will escort you to the car after a traditional welcome. Once at the hotel, you will be checked into your room, our representative will also brief you on the tour, if there are any queries, and he will answer those for you.

Day 2

On to Patan

(Road Trip of 150 km, covered in 3 hours) Post breakfast, based on a prior appointment, you will be taken to see the globally renowned Calico Museum. The Calico industry has existed since the 15th century, in 1949 Gautam Sarabhai set up the textile museum. It houses antique and ancient textiles that are a visual treat.

Day 3

On to Bhuj

(Road Trip of 380 km, covered in 7 hours) Post breakfast, early morning, you will depart for Kutch. It is home to some of India’s most colorful heritage. Nomads or gypsies have travelled through Bhuj for centuries, the numerous exchanges of tribal ware reflects in the present day handwork.

Day 4

A trip to Mandvi to see Mashru

After a hearty breakfast, you will take a trip to Mandvi to explore the art of Mashru. Mandvi is considered the center of the Mashru legacy. It was woven specifically for the Muslim communities who believed that silk should not touch a person’s skin.

Day 5

To Nakhatrana for Lacquer

(Road trip of 50 km, covered in 1 hour) Post breakfast, you head towards Nakhatrana. It is renowned for its lacquer work on wood. The word itself is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Laksha’ which means wax, used for both the LAC insect and the resinous secretion that results in the Lac.

Day 6

On to Sumrasar

Day 06 Nakhatrana – Sumrasar – Hodko (130 kms) This morning after breakfast departs for Hodko on way visit Sumrasar village for Weaving of Shawl and Stole – Weaving in Kutch is a traditional profession and skills are passed on from father to son. After having an experience of Weaving we will depart for Hodko check in to hotel and after rest in evening we will visit white desert during sunset and return to resort. Shawl and stole weaving – This Textile legacy in the state has a chequered history dating back three thousand years to the Indus valley civilization.

Day 8

Farewell Hodko, as you head back to Ahmedabad

After breakfast, bid farewell to the White Rann and begin your drive to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, visit the peaceful Sabarmati Riverfront, one of the city's most vibrant public spaces, before enjoying an authentic home-hosted Gujarati dinner with a local family. Experience the warmth of traditional Indian hospitality as you savour regional delicacies and learn about Gujarat's customs, culture, and way of life.

Day 9

Explore the enticing Ahmedabad

Begin your morning with the renowned Ahmedabad Heritage Walk, exploring the city's centuries-old Pols, bustling Chowks, beautifully carved havelis, and historic temples that showcase its rich architectural and cultural heritage. Continue to the peaceful Sabarmati Ashram, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi, before visiting the magnificent Adalaj Stepwell, celebrated for its intricate carvings and remarkable architecture.

Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy your final night at leisure. Relax and reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your journey before departing for home the following day.
