Mowgli's Playground

Pench National Park is named after the pristine Pench River that flows through the park from north to south. It is celebrated as the real-life setting of Rudyard Kipling's famous "Jungle Book". The park's open canopy and grassy meadows make it exceptionally easy to spot wildlife, including Bengal tigers, leopards, Indian bison (gaur), and a staggering variety of birds. Safaris here take you through dry deciduous teak forests that feel straight out of a classic adventure.
