The Marwar Festival is an important fair in the area of Jodhpur. The Marwar Festival takes place in October during Sharad Purnima, when the moon is full. The festival creates ample excitement among the people and they participate with a lot of zest and excitement. There are various events organised which involve singing, dancing and celebrating the local folklore. 

The Marwar region take great pride in their rich artistic and cultural heritage, which is the main aim of organising this festival. Initially the fair was named 'Maand Festival' as Maand is a classical folk music based on the romantic life style of the ancient Rajasthani kings. 

The theme surrounding the dancing and singing, usually celebrate the local heroes. Women, as well as men and children, participate in this unforgettable event. In addition to music performances, there are also horse riding events, horse polo and similar contests held.
