The Braj Holi Festival is celebrated in the Braj region around Bharatpur — the land associated with Lord Krishna — in the days leading up to Holi. Steeped in the legends of Krishna and Radha, it fills the area with music, dance and colour.
The festival features raslila performances that re-enact episodes from Krishna's playful life, along with folk dances and processions, building towards the exuberant play of colours. Organised by Rajasthan Tourism, it showcases the devotional and cultural heritage of Braj.
Visitors come to experience Holi in one of its most traditional and spirited settings, where the festival's religious roots and its joyful celebration are felt in equal measure.
